I'm Lucy Bishop, I'm based in central Bedford, but have clients from all over the country as I work remotely from home. I'm Mum to two: Bert and Connie, and I began consulting in 2015 after leaving a 7 year teaching career to have my children.

During my time as a teacher I was craving a creative outlet and decided to start writing a blog - Mrs Bishop's Bakes and Banter - back then people hadn't really heard of blogs, they weren't mainstream, and initially I think people thought I was a bit crazy. But, I loved having a space online I could call my own - something curated and creative and beautiful. Alongside the blog I had to learn to embrace social media, and before I knew it I was building a strong community around the blog plus enjoying amazing experiences and making money from it (a major bonus!).

I soon realised that social media was a really big deal and definitely wasn't a 'fad' or a 'phase' - I threw myself in to whole-heartedly learning all I could about social media from logistics to strategy, scheduling to analytics - and before I knew it I'd become the person to go to if you needed help or advice with anything social. I'd had many friends and connections through the blog communicate their need for help and support when it came to the social media aspect of their business, and it began to get the cogs turning...

I decided to give up my full-time teaching post and concentrate on building a social media consultancy - thankfully, the business has grown from strength to strength and I now work with a range of businesses to manage and curate their social media presence.

I offer 1:1 sessions either in my home or in a local cafe if preferred. These sessions are aimed at people who are new to social media or find it particularly overwhelming. Perhaps you'd like to set up a Facebook account to stay in touch with family? Or an instagram account tracking your hobbies/interests. Maybe you'd like to use social media for entertainment, but you don't know how. Aimed particularly at retired individuals I can tailor each session to your particular needs. No need to block book, happy to fit them in ad-hoc for as many sessions as you may need.
